What Is an Inshore Charter?

“Inshore” means we’re fishing protected coastal waters rather than running far offshore.
That usually means:
- More comfortable water for most days
- Shorter runs to productive spots
- More chances to fish structure, grass flats, drop-offs, and edges
- A great balance of action and variety
If you’re visiting with family, bringing a few friends, or simply want a trip that offers great fishing without the full offshore commitment, inshore is hard to beat.

What We’ll Do on an Inshore Trip
Inshore trips are all about reading the water and fishing where the bite is strongest. Depending on the day, we may:
- Work grass flats and shoreline edges with artificial lures
- Drift or anchor key areas with live bait when it’s the best play
- Target drop-offs, points, docks, and current lines
- Use the trolling motor to position quietly and make more effective casts
Captain Marvin will coach you through the approach — from casting and retrieves to hooksets and fighting fish — and he’ll adjust tactics throughout the trip to keep you on the best pattern.

What to Expect
on a 30A Bay Guide Service Charter
Captain & Boat
You’ll fish with Captain Marvin Glasgow, a skilled inshore angler who knows how to find fish in the bays, flats, and backcountry. He runs a restored 22’ Cape Horn bay boat that’s built for comfort, stability, and inshore versatility.
The boat is equipped with modern GPS, fishfinder, and VHF radio, plus a wireless trolling motor for quiet positioning. There’s also a livewell and an ice box to keep things chilled and comfortable on board.
What's Included
Captain Marvin makes it easy — everything you need to fish is included. Your trip includes rods, reels, tackle, bait, and the required fishing licenses for your group. If you decide to keep fish, Captain Marvin will clean and bag your catch at the end of the trip.
All you need to bring is weather-appropriate clothing, sun protection, and your own snacks and drinks.
Where We Launch
Trips can launch from Santa Rosa Beach, Freeport, or Panama City Beach depending on conditions and your trip plan. Captain Marvin will confirm the best launch location ahead of time to match the weather and where we’ll be fishing, so you spend more time with lines in the water.
